I played Rally Ariel.
I think it was the best aggro deck into aggro decks because of the stop gaps and free untaps it has. Against other control decks I also didn't feel I lost anything into that matchup either
I am most likely to play Astrotrain this season.
I saw I believe 2 missions complete both lost in research.
yes!.
I think it needs some work to be honest. I am often a big proponent that things that were banned should stay banned, the things gained from bringing banned cards back usually feels lost in the end.
Flamewar, Slipstream, Astrotrain, Decepticon Darkmoon, Stratagems: Rough and Tumble, Behind Enemy Lines, Lost in Research.
Played this deck because wanted to try LIR, and Astrotrain being a specialist along with Flamewar felt like a good combo.
Will probably try Acoustic Overload stratagem for Blaster, but Sharpshooter is tempting.
I only saw LiR missions completed, no Sharpshooter. I probably completed my mission almost every game, it was just a question if it was within the first few turns or late game.
I would try ATP sealed format but I am usually not available for the one day events.
I like having belligerence and end hostilities banned…it opens up more tough and bold cards to play, and when you play them you know you atleast have a chance to do something effective since they can’t be turned off completely.
LMC Starscream, Seaspray, Ironfist, Scourge
One, I didn't really have alot of time to playtest ATP-6 prior to the event (literally played this deck once, made a lineup change and a few card changes and submitted) so it made sense to go with ole'faithful Starscream 4 wide with some tweaks and second, knowing Nitro Boosters were most likely going to be banned in future T1 events, I wanted to give them one more go.
Character: Broadside. I think he will do well in Classic and is another potential sideboard option. Battlecard: Close Quarters Combat. Just waiting for Junkion this season to see if I can figure out the right team to use this card. Mission Stratagem: none. To be honest, not really a fan of the current Mission Strats. They are either too easy to get going, and/or too powerful for their cost given the current card pool.
For myself, none. In the tournament, Lost In Research I saw a ton (but that's not very hard to pull off) and Sharpshooter once.
I have a love/hate relationship with Sealed events in the past, so I'm trying to keep an open mind with this format.
Rally should have never come off the banlist. It's not surprising that both Rally decks that registered made top 8, and probably only didn't become a mirror match in the finals due to an unfortunate last minute drop by one of them. In a format that is supposed to be a solo Titanmaster/Legend playstyle, the ability to essentially have a double Legend was totally unfair and not healthy for the tournament/meta. And while I didn't get the pleasure of playing against it this time, I think High Speed Chase is probably in the same boat as it has similar issues from a power level perspective.
"Default" Astrotrain - ATP Astrotrain w/ Darkmoon, ATP Slipstream, Shrute, Behind Enemy Lines, Villainous Spotlight
Astrotrain has always been one of my favorite Transformers so I was psyched with his ATP version, even tho it's a very weird deck to play. Focus let me play more of a mixed pip deck than I'm usually comfortable playing with.
Well, 100% chance I play Astrotrain 🙂 Looking forward, I'd really like to run Warpath but I'm not sure of the right deck for him.
None
Nope. I will be skipping that, I hate Limited
Having played through this event, I think the current banlist is pretty good. The one card I'd probably add is Overwhelming Advantage. I'm not sure if it was specifically the Menasor build Wyatt ran or it's the card in general (I'd like to keep Menasor in the format), but the counters to the counters for OA are too strong and easily played (Espionage/Counter Espionage) and OA being able to basically one-shot almost anyone is probably too good. Literally 1/4 of my deck was anti-OA cards and he still easily hit it after stripping two counters from my hand and another off the table.
Well after the work that Rally did I'm pretty sure he will be joining it. Rally is soooooo good
With High-Speed Chase off the ban list, I wanted to take it for a spin, and none of the classically strong versions of the deck performed to my desired level during testing
I’m most likely to play Will of the Protocols.
A lot, both in my games and ones I watched.
Very much so! Sealed is something I’ve always enjoyed, even when my pools are hilariously bad..
Rally needs to go back on it, but otherwise I like it!
Rally Bee
I thought it was one of the best aggro decks, if not the best deck in the format.
I want to try out the new Hot Rod and like the new Cyclonus. For Battle cards I already played Fevered Edge and Fighting Dirty they felt good. I will most likely play them again.
4 LiR
Meh, I'm awful at Sealed but I enjoy TFTCG.
Well after the work that Rally did I'm pretty sure he will be joining it. Rally is soooooo good.
Rodimus/Doubledealer/Ratchet
Hot Rod is my favorite character, and I hadn't played an event with Rodimus yet..
Battle card: Fevered Edge - Character: Astrotrain
Lost In Research was the only mission I saw this tournament, and it was completed every time. Usually by my opponent's turn 2.
didn't realize that it was ready...hell yeah!
I'm mostly content with the current banned list. If there was anything I was going to consider it would be Rung. Springer might be worth a look for unban since Conversion Engine is banned.
I played "Rodimus Crime" which was a heavy orange deck with Rodimus and Nemesis Prime.
I really struggled picking a deck and ended up just slapping it together in Teletraan with Jempty and Smurf at the last minute.
Ironfist, or, as I like to call him, Bouncy Cloud Tank. He's a great 6 star with a ton of utility, plus he's a Wrecker.
I only played against one deck that had a Mission, but it was completed all 3 games and was extremely powerful
I'm a bit apprehensive about sealed since I tend to be pretty particular about the kinds of decks I play and sealed doesn't offer the opportunity to be as discerning as I usually want to be.
I think the ban list is in a decent place for the most part. Some of the "staples" that have been banned really force more creative deck building, which I think is a good thing.
Come give the Classic Format a try as the second monthly event of Season 6 begins!
