atp 6 mission: settle some scores

Hey folks! Christian Young here, from BlueVsOrange TCG bringing you another spoiler card for ATP-6! Now, I usually don’t write articles, preferring to make video content for stuff like this. However! Today is a special exception, which is fitting for a very special card today! Now if you had watched the previous video on my channel earlier, I spoiled a Seeker character and a Seeker battle card, but mentioned that I had one more special Seeker card to spoil. Allow me the pleasure of revealing to you the newest piece of Seekers support in the form of a Mission Stratagem… Settle Some Scores!

Now the first line of this mission is very important, because it further emphasizes the support that the original Seeker centerpiece, Ramjet - Hellish Hooligan. Making this strat give an extra star if you play with a 13 star or higher Seeker, means that you can play this and Ramjet and still fit in either his Conehead Partners Dirge and Thrust or Redwing and Skywarp. Now to move on to the nitty gritty of the card such as learning how to complete the mission and your reward for doing so.

This mission stratagem leverages a very powerful keyword the Seekers love to play with, Revenge. Infact to even complete this mission, you have to activate the Revenge ability of one of your characters. Once you do so, you flip this Stratagem and can see the full effects of Settle Some Scores.

whats the reward?

On the completed side of the mission, it first gives each of your Seekers tough 1. Like I mentioned in the Redwing video, this supports the playstyle of blue seekers deck, but is also not a bad little boost to orange seekers for finding greens, filling scrap yard, and finding a blank with Pulling Rank. But the real power of this strat comes in the last line, “At the end of your turn, you may put 2 cards from your hand into the KO area to activate the revenge ability of one of your characters in the KO area. Then flip that character to another mode.” This ability is obviously incredibly strong, having mirroring effects of ATP-2 Soundwave’s flip to alt mode. If one recalls, we have 4 Seeker characters that have revenge abilities, Thrust to play an upgrade from scrap, Drive to put a blank from the scrap to your hand, Skywarp to move 1 from each of your Seekers to an enemy, and Redwing to move 2 from a Seeker to an enemy. Being able to just play 1 more of any of these revenge abilities can turn the tide of the game when playing against Seekers. However, the cost itself is quite costly. In late game, you very well may be only left with two or three cards in hand, so it creates a big decision for the player to decide: are the cards in my hand worth getting rid of to play a revenge, or do I need to play these cards? Not only that, but with the new Energized mechanic, this essentially overclocks an energized deck by easily filling the ko area for them. The last line of text in that ability is actually an important safety valve for the card. Forcing the ko’d character to flip to another mode keeps Starscream Covetous Croney from flipping between alt and bot mode to fill your hand up easily, and keep triggering revenges from the ko. Now if you do you have to decide between flipping the ko’d character to get the revenge again, or flip Starscream to get bold for a big swing or search for blanks. This also is a great benefit to Ramjet, as he is a non-flipping character so you will have the free run to flip your KO characters!

This is probably the card I am most excited for out of this set, as a resident member of the #SeekerGang. This card represents such an excellent increase in consistency that Seekers needed, but also creates another layer of deck building. Obviously you can still play this with Starscream and Dirge and Thrust, but now you can’t play villainous Spotlight and that means no Nothing to Lose. I’m not saying if one is better than the other, but it creates another deck building choice. Expect an update to the Seekers compendium video really soon, cause I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t be too surprised to see a lot of people start picking up Seekers just because of this card alone!

Thanks for reading hope this bring more tools for all of the #SeekerGang!
