This article is a collaborative effort amongst the play testers to help new players adventure into ATP 6B, our 2 Year Anniversary Set!
ATP6B was built to enhance the current meta-game. Its addition to the game is capitalizing on the concepts built from with ATP6 with a hesitancy to overpower certain Characters. Who has the most to benefit from the addition of "Well I'm Prepared" and Concussion Bomb? Well of course the big bad trucks of ATP 6 Ironhide and Nemisis Prime.
Well I'm Prepared, alone would have enhanced the consistency for acquiring targeted Energized numbers. but the addition of a card like Concussion Bomb (or CBomb for sure) is a target at the metagame at large. Cbomb may be the strongest battlecard we've printed to date and has the ability to absolutely flip games upside down.
With this being an Anniversary Set, we wanted to pay homage to the games past. We accomplished this on multiple fronts.
Devastator was a failed Combiner in Wave2B. we spent the entire year working toward creating a brand new version for players to explore, one that could compete in our metagame at the highest levels, and that built on the work we did during ATP2 for Stunticons and Aerialbots.
Moonracer is a new 5* support character for characters of the old along with being a great addition to the Junkion format!
Windblade being an Anti-Combiner and an Energized support character is the best of both worlds really. She has the ability to slot into so many options while not ever really being a "default" choice.
Are you looking to play in the upcoming months event? Lucky for you the Playtesters are offering up some decks to sink your teeth into!
Energize has tons of options now 4 Wide Pierce, Control, Midrange and more with varrying lineups and character choices far and wide. absolutely a wonderful place to start and very New player friendly mechanic, simply start your deck with cards that say Energize on it and see where ya land!
Combiners? Which one ya want to suit up? Devastator and Surperion are both ready to be a menace in the Classic format.
Aerialbots being a great option as a Blue Black Pierce deck, and Devastator coming in with the potential to wear many hats. Both capable of bringing home a Win in the format!
What about Titan One? We have some decks for that as well as War Hero Kup enter the battlefield to see if can Arise to the occasion in the beloved format by many!
Nemisis Prime from ATP6B is a character whom left us at the table wanting more! and with ATP6B he gets some welcomed upgrades. (maybe even more to come in ATP7).
Looking for a new way to Pierce your enemies down? Check out this 4 Wide Blue Energized Pierce deck!
This deck was a Key Aggro deck in our testing for ATP6B and ATP7 so far. If your looking to Flip Those Oranges, this is a deck for you!
Mission Stratagems came into the game with ATP 6 and have seen a ton of success in their early signs of life. Sharpshooter and Lost in Research, each had their time in the sun (some may have been too much), while This is my Command, and Settle Some Scores were sleepers at first (SSS still is). Crafting decks around missions has changed a ton in the metagames they were in respectively. They were also cards when opened up to a greater public we could see the mishaps if players not being able to properly plan for them ending poorly.
We believe we learned a ton from the publics views on Missions, and the 2 in ATP6B are much better equipped for longevity in the game it self.
During set designs while we are always planning for the future, we love to support the past as well. Cards like Heavy Thruster Pack are just a reminder of that. I Dont Believe in Destiny, was a deck that in ATP2 was a force to be reckoned with! Giving Jetfire a "weapon" to find with his flip to Bot Mode is key boost to that powerful and potentially forgotten about ability. Another thing born with in the ATP2 set was the Seekers Trait.
Homing Missile is a card that absolutely punishes certain strategies for "hiding" a character. Seekers as a whole have found a way into Top Cuts in many different forms since their creation and this card will do wonders for many of those strategies.
What should I be planning for? Combiners are going to be in the format, Move Damage comes from many top tier strategies, 4 Wide aggro are more appealing then ever. Those are just a few of the points of information you can use to build on your ideas for deck creation.
This is a unique deck utilizing Cards from many sets within the game as a true look at rebuilding decks with characters of the past.
Fan of the Wreckers? This is a deck for you! Harpoon Guns and Star Cards jam packed with a new Mission Strat to take out for a spin.
If you like to suck the fun out your opponents game this deck may be for you. A true "Prison" feel to your gameplay can leave your opponent in frustration.
Moonracer enhancing the gameplay of legends of he past. Orion Pax arising into a way to move damage and Draw a card when he attacks is a ton of value gained from your 5* with stealth to ensure she will be around later in the game.

"Ok, so quick thoughts on this decklist
First, I purposely made it pretty mixed because it sideboards into Overwhelming Advantage really well. That said, the deck is also built to be good without needing OA, but if you get, all the better.
It's a little bit of an everything bagel from my Blue and potential OA lists I'm working on, but with Lock-On Lasers, Field Comms, Master of Metalikato, and Seek and Destroys. The Heavy Landing really need to be a 3 of, but I wanted to keep the list to 42 cards. If you don't care about defense, swap a Despite Any Difficulty for it honestly. Otherwise, it should hit your triggers pretty regularly (12 white, 10 have a green pip; 15-16 Decepticon cards, depending on if you swap DaD for Heavy Landing and while mostly offensive, can have a decent defense if played right. " - Ansel's thoughts on this particular list.
This is just one of the many versions players will find to be suitable for the meta-game, I would play to your strengths when crafting your own list for the big green meanie, but if you need some help with I'm sure Ansel will be around to help out.
